The Cornell Hook and Ladder Fire Company and Auxiliary of New Baltimore, will present a $1000.00 donation to the Greene County Sheriffs office so they can purchase a bullet proof vest for their K9 Blaze. When we found out that funds were not available in the Sheriffs budget to purchase this vest to protect Blaze from the bad guys, we felt the need to step up and help. Both the fire company & the auxiliary held fundraisers with the proceeds going to this cause. Please join us for this presentation, and light refreshments following. Maybe we will even get a Demo or two!!!

New Baltimore Fire and Rescue responded to a reported 1 car rollover with 2 people still in the vehicle. Arriving units had to extricate one patient. Ravena Rescue and Greene County Medics assisted on the scene.

The Cornell Hook and Ladder Fire Company Election Day BBQ will be Tuesday November 8Th at Albrights garage on Rt 9W. Dinners will be sold from 4 - 7pm or until sold out.. The price will remain 10.00 per dinner. Call 518-756-8312 to reserve your dinners.

The Cornell Hook and Ladder Auxilliary will host the kids Halloween Carnival on Sunday 11-30-2011 from 1pm to 3pm at the gill road firehouse. Kids should come in costume for games, prizes, crafts and food (hotdogs, popcorn, and sno cones). All children in the fire district are welcome to attend.

The New Baltimore Fire District responded to a reported rollover with injuries on Rt 9w and the thruway overpass. The black ice caused the pickup to loose control and flip into the grass. Prior to the companies arrival a second accident involving a single car occurred on the south end of the bridge. Injuries were minor with Ravena Rescue and GC Paramedics returning to service.

The annual golf outing will be held Sunday 8/21 at Sycamore Golf Course. Registration will begin at 10am with a tee off at 11am. Please contact John Wallace or Jeff Deso for further information

The Greene County Hazmat team which includes members of CH&L were called to Hudson NY on July 23 for an amnionia leak.

Monday nights drill on July 18 was attended by our company and surrounding companies on the new Chevy Volt Electric Car the Vehicle was brought to us by Sawyer Chevy in Catskill NY,  We had a chance to view the vehicle close up to see the locations of wiring and air bag system.  A power point presentation was given by Alan Vanwormer on the ins and outs of this vehicle, so in the future if an accident occurs with this  we will be better prepared to assist in the rescue.
